Silly Lucymum, waking up at 2am. By my body clock it is 6am and I’m listening for the pitter patter of little feet on the stairs as they climb down to get into bed with me. Lucymum misses those morning cuddles.
I waited 3 more hours for the first sign of daylight then went out for a sunrise run and ocean swim. Bally and Penny decided to stay in bed and sleep some more.
It was lovely and peaceful morning. I found a little fish washed up on the sand. It jumped about trying to find its way back in the water, but it was stuck. I picked it up and gently threw it back in the water.
Breakfast was impressive. Such variety! I walked around the buffet 2 or 3 times to check out all of the different stations: drinks, pastries, fruits, cereals, bacon and sausages, sushi and sashimi, congee and Chinese foods, and Vietnamese noodles.
I went for the noodles.
Then I had fish.
Then fruits.

9am, it was time for Lucymum to start work. Penny and Bally stayed in the room and played hide and seek. They played very nicely on their own and didn’t make a mess. Lucymum promised to take the toys out with her tomorrow if they behaved today. And they did.
After many hours of meetings, Lucymum finally went to the pool and hung out with her work friends. We invented a new cocktail called “pandan colada”, which had pineapple juice and a scoop of pandan ice cream on top!

There was a fire twirling show at sunset. It would take a lot of practice for these performers to learn to spin and throw balls of fire at the end of ropes without hurting themselves. One performer even “blew fire”, meaning the had a bit of the flammable liquid in their mouth and spat it at the ball of fire so it looks like a burst of flames came out of their mouth.

Dinner was at a nearby restaurant with our feet in the sand under colourful lanterns. The food was amazing: wagyu beef grilled, scallops, prawns, fish, all sorts of meats, stir fried dishes, crab fried rice and salads.

What a day! Lucymum is ready for bed now.
