Shops, characters, amazing race to sunset town

Lucymum woke at 2am again, but got up at 6am for some exercise then a swim in the ocean. Penny and Bally sat on a sun lounge and enjoyed watching the boats and waves.

Breakfast is probably our favourite meal of the day, there is so much to choose from! Bally especially liked the mini Vietnamese pancakes (the little yellow circle ones).

There were more meetings and activities for work, Lucymum was busy talking to and meeting new people. Penny and Bally waited patiently, and at around 3:30pm we walked to the little shop at the resort where they discovered many interesting things.

There was a fridge full of ice cream in wonderful flavours. Bally loved the minion made out of bread. Penny found a funny hat and met a couple of chickens. Bally found the junk food and drinks. Finally they found a shelf full of toys where they had a dance party.

This afternoon all of Lucymums work friends played the Amazing Race game. We were given riddles to solve to find out what the next location is. When we got there we had to complete an activity. In the car ride we learn some words in Vietnamese or sing songs aloud. If we did these things well we got points!!

Our first riddle got us to a temple where we painted fans.

Our second riddle led us to a monument to remember the thousands of people that died in the Vietnam war. There, we lit incense to pay respect to the dead.

The third riddle took us to the markets to buy lots of basic food ingredients. However there was a trick: they only gave us a little bit of money to spend and we had to bargain with the stallholders!

Along the way there was a treasure hunt game. For bonus points we had to find: 3 people on a scooter, a dog on a scooter, someone wearing a traditional conical hat, colourful signs and many more things.

Unfortunately we didn’t find a dog on a scooter.

Our final destination was Sunset Town where we met up with other teams for dinner. Out of 27 teams we came 13th, just in the middle. Oh, our team name was Cyber Bandits, and our theme song was “Bad to the bone.”

We weren’t fast but we did get almost all the points! We’ll find out tomorrow who the winners are.

Sunset Town is a village made to look like other famous places in the world. It was colourful, bright and full of tourists.

We also saw fireworks!

We got back to the resort at 9:30pm. It was a very long day and everyone is exhausted. Penny and Bally are now in bed, sound asleep.

Night night.
